God's plan after the fall of man was revealed in the action of the fall itself. When Adam ate of the fruit shared with him by his wife, Eve, he, at the same time gave up his Kingdom to another god.
In this first shadow picture in the Scriptures, we see the FIRST ADAM giving up his Kingdom for his bride, whom he loved. This is a picture of Jesus emptying himself of all his Kingdom, and becoming a man, giving himself for his Bride, whom he loves.
When Adam and Eve discovered their nakedness, the scripture says they made aprons out of fig leaves to cover their shame. This is a shadow picture of the covenant they now operated under. This is a picture of the covenant of works which we know as the Old Covenant. BUT GOD, had a plan. He killed an animal, and made coats for them to cover themselves. This is a shadow picture of the New Covenant. Notice, the first clothes were the works of the hands of man. The second clothes which were better than the fig leaf aprons were provided by the hand of God.
God's plan was to get the Kingdom He put into Adam, back into man. In 2 Corinthians 5:17, Paul writes, "If any man be IN CHRIST, he is a NEW CREATION, old things are passed away, behold all things have been made new." Paul is saying, when you become one with Christ, you become BRAND NEW. Those words actually mean, a species that has never existed before.
You're not in the kingdom of darkness anymore. You are now a citizen of the Kingdom of His Dear Son. Now you're at the beginning of a NEW life. This is the first step in finding out what it means to be born again. There's a whole lot more. This is just the key to get in the door so to speak.
Stay Tuned for Part 4 on Monday.
Grace,Mercy, and Peace to You.
